Pithoragarh is a small town in southern Uttarakhand, northern India. It is under Pithoragarh district. There are 11 administrative set ups in the district. It lies about 55 km east of Almora. The surrounding area lies entirely within the Himalayas and shares border with Nepal to the east and China to the north. Crops grown here include rice, barley, and wheat.
