Nizamabad is a city in Telangana, an Indian state. The city is a major urban agglomeration and the 3rd largest city in the Telangana state. Nizamabad is governed by the municipal corporation. It is the headquarters of the Nizamabad district.
The city has taken its name from the word “Nizam” which means Nizam of Hyderabad and abad meaning “Long Live” in Urdu. The Nizamabad city is known as “The City of Nizams”. The city is bordered by Nirmal from the North, Jagtial, and Karimnagar from the East, Kamareddy lies on the South, and it’s also sharing its boundaries with the Nanded of Maharashtra State from the West.
